Christian education is a lifelong process at LCG and adults are as active as youth and children in this ministry!

Brief overview of various educational opportunities at LCG

Children’s Sunday School: From twos to teens, there are Sunday school classes available every Sunday during the school year, 9:00 am – 10:00 am.

  • We’ve got a great Sunday School with excellent curriculum, experienced teachers and a good facility. Our Sunday School Christmas Program is always heart-warming, our Easter Egg Hunt is joyful and the end-of-the-year dolphin watching boat outing is always “sold out.”

Adult Sunday School: Adults gather in the sanctuary for a variety of programs: Bible studies, ministry presentations, current discussions, seminars, and special events!

Vacation Bible School: VBS is offered in the summer as a joint program between LCG and Tender Shepherd. There are games, lessons, stories, crafts, and more!

  • Each summer we offer Vacation Bible School, as well. We go all-out with VBS at LCG–and it’s awesome! Ours is an intergenerational VBS (nursery through adults), meeting in the evenings and beginning with dinner.

Catechesis: LCG’s confirmation program is a thorough introduction to Christian basics and a time of deep bonding for participants. There is no age requirement, but historically it has been “the age of discretion.”

Week-day Bible Studies: There are two great Bible studies to be a part of: the LGC Bible Study and the Women’s Bible Study. Both focus on God’s word for wisdom and faith.

Occasional Courses: We also offer The Alpha Course, Alpha Marriage, Crown Financial and other helpful courses periodically.

  • The Alpha Course is offered regularly and proves to be a great refresher course for the Christian, as well as a wonderful outreach tool for unbelievers. Two Christian parenting seminars will be offered in the upcoming months for the parents of preschool and elementary aged children and for the parents of adolescents.
