“For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, how much more, since we have been reconciled, will we be saved by his life?” (Romans 5:10) Here’s a look at our Holy Week schedule in detail:
Maundy Thursday Service – “If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet.” (John 13:14) Our Maundy Thursday Service is April 13 at 7:00 pm. We’ll be following the Lord’s command to wash each other’s feet, a symbol of his great love for us and our duty to share that love with others. The message will be provided by Chaplain Forester. This service will have communion.
Good Friday Service – he said, “It is finished,” and he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.” Our Good Friday service is April 14 at 7:00 pm. Tenebrae service – Meditate on the last words of Jesus as he died on the cross, and respond in song to his great passion and sacrifice. The message will be provided by Chaplain Forester.
“Sonrise” Service – He is risen! Just as the women came to the tomb early Sunday morning and found it empty, join us on the beach, Sunday at 6:00 am for our “Sonrise” service and hear the good news of Easter! As we watch the sun rise over the ocean, we are reminded that the Son rose from the dead. There will be no communion at this service.
Breakfast – There will be a light breakfast at 7:30 am between our two Sunday services. Food will be provided by our fellowship committee.
Easter Service – Our main Easter service is Sunday at 9:30 am, and will feature a mix of contemporary music and traditional liturgy, all with a spirit of celebration in the risen Lord! Communion will be offered at this service.
Potluck Easter Brunch – Join us after the service at 11:00 am for our potluck Easter brunch. We’ll be eating outside this year under the canopies in the courtyard area. Bring a dish to share!
